From 2005 to 2010 he played almost 200 shows a year with his bands, Hightide Blues and The Grand Magnolias, saw national success touring and playing clubs and opening for large acts such as Zac Brown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sara Bareilles, and playing large festivals such as Bonnaroo, Hangout Festival & SXSW.

The Grand Magnolias album landed on the Billboard charts in 2011, and later that year he placed 8th place on the FOX television show American Idol™. Paul was the first Idol contestant ever to perform an original song on the show, and toured worldwide on large scale performing in arenas and late night shows from Jay Leno to Good Morning America, Regis & Kelly and Craig Ferguson. He has also had several acting roles, including a 2013 co-star role on the NBC television show, Parenthood.

In 2011 Paul started a band with Nikki Reed. They toured the world and released an EP that landed on Billboard charts, and a single “All I’ve Ever Needed” was released for the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack. The album, “I’m Not Falling”, was released in July of 2014 and debuted on the Billboard Album chart and peaked at #2 on the iTunes singer-songwriter album chart.

Paul currently splits his time between Nashville and Los Angeles, and is currently in the studio writing and recording for his highly anticipated debut solo record, to be released as a deluxe edition via Kickstarter in 2014, and worldwide in early 2015.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”center” thickness=”10″][vc_column_text]
